Use of xylitol with poloxamer 407 to manufacture a composition for treating sensitive tooth necks, is claimed. Independent claims are also included for: (1) sensitive tooth necks counteracting agent comprising an active ingredient combination of xylitol and poloxamer 407, and additives; and (2) treating sensitive teeth, comprising (a) providing a composition comprising 1.5-30% xylitol and 1.5-20% poloxamer 407, and additives, (b) applying the composition in the form of a paste or in rinse on the sensitive tooth necks, and (c) closing the sensitive tooth necks.
