The method involves positioning telescopic vertical supports (11, 12) approximately parallel to an element of a bearing structure during operation, and fixing a formwork piece (13) to the supports by flanges (14) equipped with a position blocking unit (15) i.e. bolt. A mixture of lime and long natural fibers flows between the structure and the piece. The mixture is cured to form an insulating coating layer. The formwork piece is vertically slid along the supports during another operation. The formwork piece is fixed to the supports in position, and the mixture flows over the layer. An independent claim is also included for a formwork device for realizing thermal insulation.
