The device has a first camera (C1) aligned on an arrival line, and a display unit for displaying images e.g. stereoscopic images, in three-dimensional (3D) form. A second camera (C2) is aligned on the arrival line and shifted from height (H) relative to the first camera. The height shift between the cameras is greater than interocular spacing. A third camera is aligned on the line and placed on an opposite side of arrival line with respect to the former camera. A fourth camera is aligned on arrival line and placed on a same side of arrival line as third camera. An independent claim is also included for a method for forming a 3D photo finish image.
