The method involves providing a blank that is embossed in sections so that two embossed arms (PS) are produced. The embossed blank (P1) is inserted in a spreading device, where the embossed arms are spread in sections in two arms (10,11). The arms are spread apart at a predetermined spread angle and a forgoing blank (16) is produced, where a technical processing is forged for a suspension component (18). The blank is heated at a temperature more than 200 degree Celsius, particularly more than 400 degree Celsius. An independent claim is provided for a device for manufacturing a forging blank.
