A method for producing a chassis construction part, characterized by the following process steps:– Providing a blank (1),– section-by-section embossing of the blank (1), so that at least two embossing leg (ps) are formed,– Insertion of the embossing die blank (p1) in a device (2) for spreading,– at least section-by-section spreading of the embossing leg (ps) into the two legs (10, 11),– Spreading apart of the two legs (10, 11) to a predetermined spreading angle and thus producing a rough forged piece (16) and– forging processing for the running-gear component 18.
