The pump has an air-pumping device for drawing air from a housing (31) to pump liquid into pump. A cover (40) has an opening (42) and a channel (43). The cover is mounted on housing and air-pumping device. The housing is connected with outer portion through opening and connected with air-pumping device through channel. A valve (70) is movable in housing between one position for enabling the channel and another position for blocking the channel when pump is in inverted position. A float is provided for inducing the valve to move to blocking position when pump is full with liquid.
