The method involves rotating a broad raw rubber-strip on a circumferential side of a roller (11), and arranging a cutting device (6) e.g. rolling knife, at the roller. A material strip is separated from the rubber-strip, which lies on the roller, using the cutting device. The material strip is forwarded to a supporting unit (8) to wind the material strip on a tire structure drum (1). Tire components are arranged in the form of carcass layer-cores on the drum before winding process. A vehicle tire to be manufactured is subsequently treated and finished using a manufacturing method.
