The bus bar tap element (2) has insulating housing (8) provided parallel to contact arm (10), for contacting an electrical conductor (6) of a comb-like bus bar (1). The housing is extended so as to leave a free space for receiving electrical conductor carrying the comb tooth (3) of the bus bar. A holding arm (12) is connected to the contact arm. The housing for electrical insulation of holding arm is extended from comb teeth adjacent to the holding arm into the clearance between the holding arm and associated contact arm to engage in the free space at comb teeth.
