The circlip is engaged in recesses (13, 14) formed in the steering housing, in a form-fit manner. The circlip is formed as a multi-component element, and fixable in an axial direction, where the recess exhibits steadily increasing width in a circumferential direction. The recess formed in a rear section of the steering housing extends in a radial direction, where the attachment element is insertable into the housing. An independent claim is also included for a method for fixing an attachment element.
