The rail network has a control center for the marketing of the rail vehicles. A control unit (5) is configured to takes into account the latest external influences on the braking behavior of each rail vehicles, with the current control of the movement of the rail vehicles. A receiving device is provided, in the control unit, for receiving measurement signals from measurement signals sender devices. The measured signals have information about the behavior of the braking devices with the external factors influencing rail vehicles. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a rail vehicle with an electronic control device for the braking device; and (2) a method for electronically controlling the braking device of a rail vehicle.
