The compensation element is arranged in a rotatable manner between two adjacent fall protection rails (110a,110b) of a fall protection device. The compensation element is rotatable corresponding to one of the rising axis direction. A change in the distance between the two adjacent fall protection rails is obtained in the rising direction.
