The device (1) has a disk (2) made from electrical conductive material and attached on an axis (A), and a magnetization device (3) provided with a recess (15), where the disk runs by the recess. A control device (4) actuates the magnetization device to produce desired rotational torque in the disk. The magnetization device comprises a power electronics for producing alternating voltage for supply of magnetic devices, where the power electronics comprises inverters. The magnetization device comprises a capacitor arranged parallel to another capacitor. The disk is designed as an aluminum disk. The magnetic devices are designed as voltage and current iron devices, and the control device is designed as a microcontroller-based control device. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for production of torque at an axis (2) a vehicle.
