The method involves creating image points in an overall image of a test surface (21) during an image processing operation, where the image points include a sphere-shaped focal region (40). A focal adaptation is enabled during an immersion of an image capturing system i.e. high speed camera, along a scan axis (30) in a test body (20). The focal region is determined based on immersion depth in the test body before or during recording about detection of a prominent component structure provided before the image capturing system in scan-direction. An independent claim is also included for a device for focus adaptation with an image capturing system of an endoscope inspection device for circumferential visibility.
