The rocker pin (1) comprises a cradle element (2) having a free-form cross section. Two end caps (4,4') are provided in front side ends (3,3') of the cradle element. The front surface (5) of the end cap is larger than the front surface of the cradle element. A damping element is arranged between the cradle element and end cap. The cradle element and end cap are made of hard materials. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) cradle four-bar chain; and (2) method for manufacturing cradle four-bar chain.
