The method involves inserting a partially warm carrier blank (10) into a mold, where the mold has two mold halves. The mold is closed by bringing the mold halves together to form a carrier. The fibers of the carrier blank are displaced upon closing of the tool for forming a passage. The carrier blank is cooled in the area, where the carrier blank rests on one of the two halves (2). The mold halves are provided for the displacement of the fibers by one of a projection (1) that is produced in the form of a tip of an arc or of a tooth.
