Method for balancing of elongated rotors, such as axles, rollers or drums, involves measuring dynamic imbalancing during rotation of rotors, and regulating local temperature of structure of rotor at one or multiple points
The method involves measuring dynamic imbalancing during the rotation of rotors (R1), and regulating local temperature of a structure of the rotor at one or multiple points (A) along a longitudinal axis (C) for asymmetric distribution of temperature. The rotor is bent in longitudinal direction due to thermal expansion in the material under compensation of the dynamic imbalance. The rotor is locally heated by electrical induction heating, where the measurement results are analyzed by Fourier transformation. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a system for balancing of elongated rotors, such as axles, rollers or drums; and (2) a rotor provided with resistance heater.
