The method involves wavy deforming a fiber reinforced mat (10) before curing resin (47) e.g. thermoplastic resin, along longitudinal or transverse direction, where the resin is withdrawn from slot dies (7). A curved semi-finished material is rolled up into a cushion-type pneumatic spring including shafts extending transversely to a longitudinal axis of the spring. A roller is moved by spring force or an actuator, where outer diameter of another roller is smaller than inner diameter of the cushion-type pneumatic spring. An independent claim is also included for a device for manufacturing a cushion-type pneumatic spring.
