The apparatus (1) has a heat exchanger (12) for heating air conveyed by a blower (2) from two separate zones. Another heat exchanger is provided with electrical resistor heating devices that heat a coolant led by the latter heat exchanger, where heat output of the heating devices is controllable and variable in an independent manner. The heating devices are hydraulically separated with respect to the coolant such that the zones of the former exchanger are heated by the heating devices in an independent manner. The latter exchanger comprises two exhaust openings. The electrical resistor heating devices are designed as positive temperature co-efficient (PTC) heating devices.
