The operation control device has a detection unit (2a) which detects a driving individual parameter of a drive. A control unit provides a control signal for a range extender (11) of the vehicle during another drive depending on a detected driving individual parameter of the former drive. The detection unit has a power restriction detecting unit which detects the amount of power restriction of a vehicle drive during the former drive. An independent claim is included for a method for controlling the operation of electric vehicles.
