The former (1) has a lower wire (3) for dewatering of a fibrous material web (2), and a wire suction roller (4) for guiding the web. A wire conducting roller (5) is arranged downstream of the wire. A pick-up-roller (6) is arranged between the suction and conducting rollers for removing the web and transferring the material web to a pressing section (7). A felt (8) is guided over the suction roller and provided for enclosing the suction roller in an enclosing area. The felt is guided over conducting rollers (9) and a horizontally adjustable roller (10) for adjusting felt strain. An independent claim is also included for a machine for manufacturing fibrous material web.
