The molding unit (2) has a head box (11) and a draining section formed by an endless circular filter band (4). The filter band is guided at guide rollers, where the draining section is arranged opposite to the head box. One of the guide rollers is designed as a bending compensating roller (1). A rigid roller shell is pivotably supported on a carrying body, and supporting elements are arranged parallel to a longitudinal axis of the bending compensating roller in a row. The supporting elements are designed as piston elements.
