The machine tool (1) has a working head (13) and a base (27) for a workpiece (P) to be processed. The base and the working head are moved with numerical control (X,Y). The base has multiple clamping elements, where each clamping element has two opposite clamping surfaces. The clamping surfaces are moved with respect to each other in a mutual direction of approach. Each clamping element (31) has a stopper, which is adjusted in a perpendicular direction to the direction of mutual movement between the both opposite clamping surfaces.
