The method involves receiving program contents (I1-I4) by a broadcast recording apparatus (1) based on transmission program (2) of a radio station (3) i.e. satellite radio station. Location information (5) is transmitted to the recording apparatus by a navigation system (4), and a user is assisted for searching the contents based on the location information. Location name is transmitted to the recording apparatus, where the location name matches with a current position of the recording apparatus. The name is compared with names and/or terms of the program contents by the recording apparatus.
