The device has a loading floor extension which is executed as tightly spanned flexible planar formation between a front edge of the loading floor (2) and the surrounded back rest arrangement (3). The planar formation is removed in its rest position in a compact folded condition. The planar formation is provided in its front end extension direction with a dimensionally stable cross section, particularly a supporting profile.
