The stack (4) has a guiding unit for performing spiral flowing of an exhaust gas stream (5) in the stack, where the guiding unit spirally runs in the stack as circulating ribs or guiding plates, a tangential inlet, an adjustable guiding baffle or as adjustable flaps. The adjustable flaps are arranged at different heights of the stack. The guiding unit is adjusted such that a bracket is located between circumferential direction of the stack and flow direction of the exhaust gas stream between 40 and 80 degrees, preferably between 50 and 70 degrees. An independent claim is also included for a power plant.
