Drive system for motor car, has damping element comprising two surfaces displaced relative to each other, where distance between surfaces is adjustable and fluid friction occurs between surfaces due to rotational movement of damping element
The system (1) has an axle gear box (5) coupled with a drive shaft (3) and a driven shaft (4) coupled with the axle gear box for transferring torque to the driven shaft by the axle gear box. A damping device (2) is provided for reduction of rotational non-uniformity arising in the system, and has a spring element and a hydraulic damping element coupled with a shaft. The damping element has two surfaces displaceable relative to each other, where distance between the surfaces is adjustable and fluid friction occurs between the surfaces due to rotational movement of the damping element. An independent claim is also included for a method for reduction of rotational non-uniformity arising in a drive system.
