The centrifugal fan has a fan housing (1), in which a fan impeller is driven by an electromotor. The fan housing has a peripheral wall (5) provided for radially enclosing the fan impeller. An air intake opening (4) is axially formed at the fan impeller. The peripheral wall, a front inlet wall (3), lateral wall and rear lateral wall (2) are partially deformed along its extension in a variable manner. The peripheral wall, the front inlet wall, lateral wall and rear lateral wall have a flexible inner wall for lying against the fan impeller.
