Biomaterial or a bio-composite based on sunflower seed husks or sunflower seed shell pods, is claimed. The sunflower seed husks or the sunflower seed shell pods are ground and exhibits a grain size of = 3 mm. The proportion of the sunflower seed husks or the sunflower seed shell pods in a biomaterial end product is 40-90%, preferably 50-70%. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a use of sunflower-plastic-composites for producing a package, preferably a food package e.g. a tin or bottle for sunflower oil; and (2) producing the sunflower-plastic-composite using the sunflower seed husks or the sunflower seed shell pods, ground sunflower seed husks or the sunflower seed shell pods by adopting extrusion, injection molding, rotational molding, pressing techniques, and/or thermoforming process, comprising using polypropylene, polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride and/or acrylonitrile butadiene styrene as a plastic material.
