The reader (1) has a housing (2) comprising a pressure equalization device (4), and a line connection (6) formed between an inner area (8) of the housing and surrounding (10) of the housing and connected to the housing in a pressure-tight manner. A gap formed between a housing body and a housing cover is sealed by a seal, where the seal and the line connection are formed as a single-piece. The line connection comprises a rigid conducting port (12) and a flexible hose (14) that is suspensible on the conducting port, where the connection port is connected with the housing in a rigid manner. An independent claim is also included for a hot drink preparation device.
