The gearbox (9) has transmission input shafts (10,12), countershafts (14,15) and electric machine (33) which is coaxial or parallel to the axis of a transmission input shaft or countershaft. The power flow of a rotor (32) of the electric machine is switched by switching element. The rotor is operatively connected to idler gears (25,41,46) located on transmission input shaft and countershaft. A single-way switching element converted into twin switching element (31) with common actuator system switches the connection of electric machine and idler gears if the number of gears is odd number.
