The cage has multiple ball pockets provided in a circumferential direction and formed by ball pocket segments (S1, S2), which are made as a sheet metal forming part. The ball pocket segments comprises two connection bars (1, 2), and a laterally bulging pocket mantle section (3) that is provided between the connection bars. The ball pocket segments are combined to form an annular body by overlapping of the connection bars. Geometry of the connection bars of the ball pocket segments is coordinated such that the annular body comprises the ball pocket segments, which are identical on two sides.
