The method involves linking a recess (14) of die casing (12) with a high-pressure system of fluid, and arranging a nozzle needle (18) in the recess. A cone angle of a conical stage recess arranged downstream of injection port (24) of die casing, is determined based on expected beam cone (68), so as to prevent fluid wetting of conical stage recess during the operation of nozzle assembly (10). The conical stepped recess is introduced into the die casing, based on the determined cone angle. A seat portion of needle tip (20) of the nozzle needle is made to cooperate with a sealing seat (50) formed in the wall (16) of recess, so that the closed state of nozzle needle prevents the flow of fluid through injection port of die casing. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a nozzle assembly; and (2) an injection valve.
