The method involves extending a machining direction on a friction surface (4) in an arc shape in a circumferential direction of a brake disk (1). A concave side of the arc shape machining direction is turned towards a middle of the brake disk. Machining surface finishing of the friction surface is carried out by a geometrically indefinite blade or a geometrically definite blade. The friction surface is ground. A grinding disk (6) is placed on the friction surface with a position of a circumference for finishing of the friction surface. The grinding disk is bent at the middle of the brake disk. An independent claim is also included for a brake disk.
