The method (10) involves producing cellulose acetate-acetone-triacetin solution (17) from cellulose acetate (14), acetone (15) and triacetin (16), where a percentage weight of the triacetin in the solution is 1 percentage relative to a weight percentage of the acetate. The solvent is evaporated so that a solid cellulose acetate-triacetin-filament (23), a cellulose acetate-triacetin-granulate (25) and a cellulose acetate-triacetin-filter tow (28) are obtained. An evaporated acetone-air mixture (20) is recovered and returned into a process.
