The rod (10) has a connecting rod bearing for bearing on a crankshaft, which comprises an axial bearing with an axial bearing surface (11). The axial bearing surface of the connecting rod bearing comprises hydrodynamically effective form surfaces (12-23) differing from a chamfer. The form surfaces are formed as a ramp, where height and length of each form surface are 0.3 mm and 5 mm, respectively. An angle of the ramp lies between 0.1 and 0.5 angular minutes. The connecting rod bearing comprises a rolling bearing (24) that includes multiple rolling elements (25).
