The method involves adjusting integrated blisters (24) from first condition to second condition, when a force exceeds a predetermined threshold value. Larger force is exerted from the integrated bubbles to the seat occupants in second condition than that in the first condition. The integrated blisters are adjusted from the second condition to third condition that differs from second condition, and a smaller force is exerted from the integrated blisters to the seat occupant in the third condition than in the second condition. An independent claim is also included for a vehicle seat.
