The ironing machine (10) has a control unit (20) controlling multiple machine functions during a pressing process according to a sequence program. The sequence program is determined for multiple consecutive time slots. The control unit is adapted to receive program input for the sequence program over a graphical programming interface from a user. The programming interface allows an individual determining of the time period of each time slot. The programming interface is displayed on a touch-sensitive screen.
