The fluid energy machine arrangement (10) has an internal combustion engine (12) and a closed fluid circuit, by which the heat from the internal combustion engine is converted into mechanical energy. The fluid circuit comprises a cooler for cooling a working fluid, a pump unit for conveying the working fluid to a heat exchanger (30) and an expansion unit (38) for expanding the working fluid. The expansion unit is arranged downstream the heat exchanger. The expansion unit has two turbines (40,42) driven by the working fluid vaporized by the heat exchanger.
