The burner has a pressure plate (7), and a vaporizer chamber (1) into which fuel mist (6) is introduced by a fuel nozzle (8), where the mist is vaporized by infrared radiation caused in a combustion chamber (2) and mixed with combustion air (5). Liquid fuel-air mixture is heated up to a boiling point of the fuel. The fuel is transferred into a gaseous state and mixed with the air, without reaching ignition temperature necessary for ignition. The mixture is separated from a vaporization zone for combustion. Distance between the vaporizer chamber and bottom of a deflecting pot (9) is small.
