The profile has a closed profile system including insulating material core as an intermediate profile with outer and inner metal or light metal profile shells (1, 2). The profile shells include a glass fiber reinforced plastic profile (3) having vertical and horizontal wall contours (13, 14), which are connected to each other. A closed unit is subdivided into upper and lower profile parts (11, 12) and forms a closed gas or vacuum hollow chamber that is provided by an interconnected coupling (18) of the profile part and filled with cores made of an insulation material (8).
