The machine-readable code is a barcode, a two-dimensional code or a magnetic code. The machine-readable code is attached on a surface of the memorial monument. The machine-readable code contains a weather-proof or age-resisting material. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) an information system for memorial monument; and (2) a method of communicating information regarding a memorial monument.
