The method involves connecting a condensation source and system components (7-9,14-16) of fuel cell system (2). The condensation source cools the system components when the temperature difference between the system components is less than 20K, so as to equalize the temperatures of system components during switching OFF of fuel cell system. The heat conducting contact between the condensation source and the system components is formed by a mechanical heat conducting coupling and the trunk lines.
