Several sensors (12,14) are arranged for obtaining the data on the current driving state of motor vehicle (10), the vehicle's current environment, and the prevailing road conditions. The detection data are sent to an evaluation unit (16) to check whether collision of vehicle with other object has occurred and to output an output signal of an impending collision. When the collision is imminent, the friction increase is performed, by attaching the articles (20) to the vehicle tire, while triggering one or more actuators (18).
