The system has a redundant implemented system (10) for processing a flight control function to control an airplane with a control surface (40). Two computers (12, 14) and sensors (16, 18) i.e. global positioning sensors, are connected to a data network (50) accommodating the control surface. Actuator control electronics (22, 24) and actuators (30, 32) are connected with each other through another data network (60). The actuator control electronics are connected in addition to the former data network of the redundant implemented system, where the control surface is connected to the actuators.
