The bed (10) has a bedding box (12) formed as a base, which confined a storage space (14) accessible from the top of the bed. A lower spring (16) is supported at bedding box. The lower spring allows a permanent ventilation of the bedding box for a mattress. An adjustable cover element (24) is provided partly between an open position and a closed position at the top of the bedding box. The cover element closes the storage space in a dustproof manner.
