The bed (10) has a lower spring system (16) provided with a spring core and a lower mattress (18) that is designed as a spring core mattress. An upper mattress (22) is arranged above the lower mattress. Multiple connectors (17) are arranged at a bottom side of the spring system for spaced supporting of the spring system on an underframe (14). An intermediate mattress (20) is arranged between the lower mattress and the upper mattress. The upper mattress comprises an integrated ventilation system. Counter elements (15) i.e. hollow cylinders, engage into the connectors. The underframe is designed as a timber construction.
