Method for controlling driving apparatus i.e. powertrain, of motor car, involves providing control signal to transfer combustion engine from drive mode to rest mode when equivalence rotation speed falls below rotation speed threshold level
The method involves recognizing a critical rotation speed situation and detecting minimum local rotation speed and maximum local rotation speed, where the minimum speed and maximum speed represent local rotation speed sizes. The local sizes are evaluated to determine a local rotation speed mean value. Equivalence rotation speed is determined from the local sizes and compared with a rotation speed threshold level, and a control signal is provided to transfer an internal combustion engine (11) from a drive mode to a rest mode when the equivalence speed falls below the level. The critical rotation speed situation is recognized by measuring rotational speed of a driven shaft (11a). An independent claim is also included for a device for controlling a driving apparatus of a motor car.
