The traffic participant role is assigned to users according to information about location-related traffic hazard collected and associated to individual road users of motor vehicles (3A,3B,4). The traffic hazard information is communicated over cellular network (5) at user associated terminals (1A-1C) and traffic hazard message is output on terminal as a function of associated road user's role. The traffic hazard is detected in vehicle according to information and is compared with received traffic hazard information. The traffic hazard information is output in response to comparison result.
