The device has a cam shaft (10) comprising a cam (11) for operation of a gas exchange valve (12). Multiple pivotably mounted tilting- or rocker arms (13) tap a cam contour of the cam and comprise a valve operating element (14) that is actively connected with the gas exchange valve. An adjustment device (15) is provided for lift adjustment of a full-variable valve, and comprises a movable adjustment element (16). The arms are pivotably connected to the adjustment element and moved with respect to the cam shaft. The adjustment device adjusts space between the cam and an outlet contour (19).
