The fitting (1) has a base lever (2), and a pivoting lever (3) supported in a pivotable manner opposite to the base lever such that the fitting occupies a stretched position and a folded position. The base lever is connected with the pivoting lever over a control lever (5) that pivots with the pivoting lever. The base lever is connected with the control lever over a spring (8), where resetting force of the spring works opposite to resetting torque to adjust the fitting. Effective lever arm of the resetting force in the folded position of the fitting is larger than in the stretched position.
